An award-winning author and speaker who has appeared on many national TV shows including CNN, The Today Show, and Good Morning America. Nancy Samalin will talk about the daily challenges faced by parents of toddlers to teens and provide practical solutions on how to:

Director of the Massachusetts Aggression Reduction Center (M.A.R.C.) at
Bridgewater State College and national speaker on the issues of cyber bullying, social cruelty and violence prevention.

Limit Setting Parent Workshop

  Facilitated by Bonnie MacDonald, Ph.D

In partnership with the Marblehead Counseling Center, these practical workshops will show parents how to communicate their expectations to their child, set reasonable limits, enforce important roles, give their child choices, and follow through with appropriate consequences for inappropriate behaviors.

Dr. MacDonald is a clinical child psychologist in private practice since 1992. The former Director of Behavioral Medicine at North Shore Children's Hospital, she is a graduate of Harvard College with a doctorate in psychology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.

Facilitated by Research ILD staff in partnership with the Marblehead Counseling Center. These workshops will provide more detailed information and discussion for parents in an interactive forum. Specific focus will be given to strategies to help your child to:

  • Organize an effective work space
  • Develop time management skills
  • Manage long-term assignments
  • Become accountable for their own work
