  How will educators benefit?
Educators will have an opportunity to participate in professional development events, which will help them to gain a broader awareness of the variety of issues that impact their students and their classrooms. Helpful classroom skills and strategies will be explored.

In this interactive workshop for Preschool Faculty Nancy Samalin will present concrete strategies and skills to teach Preschool teachers and staff how to:

  • Build strong partnerships with parents to support the common goal between teacher and parent to help each child grow and learn to the best of his/her ability.
  • Address and respond to the wide variety of communication styles teachers may encounter when communicating with parents.
  • Deliver news about inappropriate behavior or under achievement in clear language that parents will understand.

This program is funded by a grant from the Community Partnership for Children and with support from the Jewish Community Center of the North Shore.
